QR Code by BLUE
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 January 2026
QR Code Generator by BLUE is a Blue Agency product. This policy covers two different groups of people: the customers who create dynamic QR codes and link pages with it, and the members of the public who scan those codes. What we collect about each is deliberately different.
1. Who we are
QR Code Generator by BLUE is built and hosted by Blue Agency, 10 Dr. Hanem St., behind Le Méridien Hotel, Remaya Square, Giza, Egypt. For any question about this policy, write to info@blueagency-eg.com.
2. If you are a customer
When you request access, subscribe or use the product, we hold:
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number and the company or workspace you work under.
- The codes and pages you create — their names, destinations, design settings and the content of any link page you publish.
- Billing records — plan, currency, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored on our servers.
- Support correspondence, including WhatsApp and email conversations about the product.
- Product usage — sign-ins, actions in the dashboard and API key activity, kept for security and troubleshooting.
3. If you scanned a code
Scanning a dynamic QR code takes you through our servers so we can send you to the destination its owner has set. That redirect is logged. The log records:
- The time of the scan and which code was scanned.
- Country and city, derived approximately from your IP address.
- Device type, operating system and browser.
- The campaign parameters attached to the code, where its owner used them.
4. What scanning does not collect
- No precise GPS location. City-level accuracy from an IP address is the limit.
- No name, phone number, email address or account identity of the person scanning.
- No cross-site advertising profile, and no sale of scan data to anyone.
- Nothing that would let a code owner identify an individual scanner. Owners see counts, places, devices and times — never people.
5. Published link pages
A link page you publish is public. Anything you put on it — text, images, contact details, links — is visible to anyone with the address, and can be indexed by search engines unless you mark the page noindex or protect it with a password. Do not publish personal data on a link page that you would not put on a public website.
6. Cookies and site analytics
The marketing pages use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, and your language and currency preferences are stored in your browser. The product itself uses a session cookie to keep you signed in; that cookie is necessary for the dashboard to work.
The redirect that serves a scan does not set advertising cookies on the scanner's device.
7. How we use the information
- To operate the service: resolve scans, serve link pages and run the dashboard.
- To produce the analytics the customer subscribed for.
- To bill subscriptions and keep the required accounting records.
- To provide support and to send service notices such as renewals, incidents and changes.
- To detect and stop abuse — phishing destinations, malware, spam and attempts to overload the service.
8. Who we share it with
With our hosting, database and storage providers; with the payment provider that processes subscriptions; with the email and messaging tools we use to reach you; and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data, and scan data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.
9. Retention
Scan records are kept for as long as the code's owner has an active subscription, so their analytics history stays intact, and are deleted or anonymised after the account closes. Account and billing records are kept for the period Egyptian tax and commercial law requires. You can delete an individual code or page at any time; deleting a code stops its redirect working, which is permanent and affects anything already printed.
10. Security
Everything is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, API keys are shown once and stored hashed, and access to production data is limited to the staff who need it. Page passwords protect a page from casual access; they are not a substitute for keeping genuinely sensitive material off a public page.
11. Your rights
Customers can ask for a copy of their data, correct it, export their codes and analytics, or ask us to delete the account. Where Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 or the GDPR applies, we honour the rights it grants. Because scan records carry no identity, we usually cannot connect a scan to the person who made it — if you believe a specific record relates to you, write to us with enough detail to find it.
12. Children
The product is sold to businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
13. Changes
This page is updated when the product changes, and the date at the top shows the last review. Material changes are announced to customers.
